Take this survey
I don't really do this anymore, but as I'm incommunicado online and mostly out of touch except via phone, it seems like a decent enough snapshot.

This is one of those cases where you walk into a coffee shop/ restaurant/ situation, and the radio starts playing something grossly appropriate, so much so that it's incredibly irritating. Other examples of this include songs that seem to haunt places, such as John Mellencamp's "Small Town" inhabiting every U-Store known to man, Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" (or "Waiting for the Miracle") lingering in dingy coffee shops, or, in a bizarre twist of fate Peter Gabriel's "Red Rain" inhabiting the sound system in the women's locker room of my health club. (The last one is particularly annoying. Associations!)

Anyway, here's the SOTD.

Song of the Day has kind of outlived its purpose, and was mostly for my own amusement and tracking purposes, anyway. So I'm just going to start keeping a list of what stays in heavy rotation on the iPod, and occasionally recommend music to folks.

in no particular order )
